About Liquid Additive Manufacturing

The additive manufacturing process uses liquid materials such as liquid silicone rubber (LSR) or polyurethane (PU). A unique feature is the material crosslinking integrated into the printing process using a high-temperature halogen lamp. This releases energy and accelerates complete crosslinking at the molecular level between the individual materials.

In contrast to UV-curing processes, LAM 3D printing with the LiQ 320, for example, uses liquid silicone without further additives. This means that the material properties of the components are retained over the long term even under permanent mechanical stress or strong solar radiation. The integrated material cross-linking also makes it possible to print overhangs – without the use of supporting material. At the end of the printing process, the user can always remove a fully functional component that no longer needs to be reworked.

Since the development of Liquid Additive Manufacturing, the process has been continuously optimized by InnovatiQ GmbH + Co KG. The application specialists research new materials and application areas and give their all every day to realize specific customer requests from a wide range of industries with the LiQ 320.
